Cleveland Neighborhood Partnership: Competitive Grants
Neighborhood Progress, Inc. improves Cleveland’s neighborhoods by helping them achieve their own dreams for the future. Since 1988, we’ve worked with community development corporations to create and accomplish holistic plans for revitalizing their neighborhoods. We:
- Create accountability. We provide stable funding to community development corporations, but only those that have proven their ability to develop new ideas, operate efficiently and meet strategic goals.
- Strengthen organizations. We offer leadership and management training, technical advice and project planning assistance to help community development corporations become more self sustaining.
- Build community. We help development corporations organize residents in their neighborhoods by bringing people together to plan for the future.
- Target strengths. We encourage community development corporations to focus their development projects on areas with the most opportunity to grow.
- Open doors. Programs participants receive priority access to project financing through Village Capital
- Corporation. Some participants also have the opportunity to collaborate on large-scale development projects with New Village Corporation.
